Now - what are you looking for?
That may be an odd way to start a website, but there's a reason for that. It's because the purpose of this website is to be a resource for those of you who want to learn, use and enjoy calligraphy.
To get things going I'm starting this website with things that I know about calligraphy that I think will be of value and interest to you.
But this website will only be successful if it provides you with the information you came looking for. And the only way that can happen is if you let me know what you want. So here's how that works...
I've created six main categories, as you can see above:
How-To's & Lessons
Pens & Supplies
Alphabets & Fonts
Projects & Uses
Store & Gallery
Everything Else
Clicking on those links will take you to the directory pages for those categories. Check to see if what you want is there - and if it isn't, please let me know.
I've included an ASK! section on each page in the right sidebar area. It's a easy way for you to let me know what you want. Just type in your request, comment or suggestion and click "send". It's as simple as that.
So anytime you think of something you want, just ASK! for it.
Right now there are lists on the directory pages of information that I want to add at some point. But what should I add first? If you see something listed that isn't an active link yet, but you'd like it to be, just type that into the ASK! box and send it to me.
Or if you're on an information page and it doesn't answer the questions you have about that subject, or if I haven't made it clear enough for you - then ASK! about that too.
Now - just so you know - the ASK! feature in the sidebars does not send me your contact information. That way you can send your requests anonymously if you want.
But if you would like a reply - and I would be happy to do that - then simply include your name and e-mail address along with your request. I've included those on this
ASK! page, if that's easier for you.
I've set up a
Blog and a
Newsletter to keep you updated on what's going on and what is being added. I'd encourage you to sign up for the newsletter, as it has projects, articles, inspirations and other good stuff that I'll be sending you. And please feel free to add your comments on the blog.
Also - if you have tips, ideas, supplies, sources or other information you think would help others, or if you have better information than what's already here, feel free to let me know that as well. I welcome your contributions. Please send those to evelyn@dancingpencalligraphy.com.
